PICTURE ME THERE! - Take me with you through photos...
I am not big on air travel. Reason being that I am afraid of flying, and also at some point was advised by my medical doctor(s) to travel with restrictions. On the flipside though, and as the song lyrics goes...How I wish to be able to--fly the ocean on a silver plane, see the pyramids along the Nile, watch the sunrise from a tropic isle, see the marketplace in old Algiers ...somehow, I do really would like to go visit the many wonderful places around the world, more so churches.
Then one day after watching the movie "Up in the Air" starring George Clooney as someone who makes his living traveling, when he was asked by his sister for him to take a picture of a cut-out photo of her and her fiancé as if they were there too at a particular location.
It's cool concept made me smile. And it gave me the idea that I too can do the same...be at a place that I've never really been at, or may never be able to go to. Therefore the conceptualization of this "Take me with you and PICTURE ME THERE" section here in my blog.
Basically, If any of you folks would like to take part in this project, and if it's not to much to ask, (don't worry, I am not going to send you a cut-out picture of myself! haha!)--what you do is take a picture of yourself in front of wherever must-see places across the globe you may be...(i.e. churches, museums, mountains, islands, deserts, beaches, national parks, historical places, etc..(and if you prefer without your face showing)--maybe holding just a simple paper sign with something written along the lines of "Wish you were here, SkippyHeart!"
This would really make me happy and will surely treasure your submitted photos... so let me already thank you for taking me along with you! ;)
