A SATURDAY with HENRY
Life is truly beautiful and the frailty of it all makes it even more so...
Please don't mind me--I am just feeling a bit more emotional than usual...[oh no, more? yep! more than ever that I cannot help myself from crying*] - [*wipe tears of joy*] [*good thing I do not wear make-up or else I will have gunk all over my face*]
The past week has been like a rollercoaster ride--the kind that makes you throw your hands up in the air ecstatically screaming woooh hooo! weeeh!.
Forgive me for basking in happiness--but after going through one of the most eventful week of my life the past week [our lives-more so of my mom's ]--I cannot help myself from realizing the truth that if you just hold-on long enough to the promise of hope amidst life's uncertainties-that there is indeed that light at the end of the tunnel. There are so many things to be thankful for. [I am eternally grateful for all the blessings oh Lord...]
I am definitely already in my comfort zone, my ideal life and I could not ask for more. . .
*ok, enough drama, now it is time for some heavy action--I need to get my skinny behind ready and out the door to meet Henry -- that is Henry Jones Jr. We are set to meet at 10.a.m. at a movie theater in front of the fountain with the golden statue. Although this is not our first Saturday together, the anticipation of seeing him again still remains. Then, there I was, sat down quietly with Coke on my right hand and a tub of popcorn on my lap. -- Then there he was -- ahhhh! Indiana Jones [*scroll down for pictures*]-- still full of adventures!
I tell ya' folks, I find older guys sexier [*not the super grandpa ones that have more health issues than I have he! he! ] What I meant by older guys are the ones who carry themselves well and not just have air in between the cavity of their ears...but then again, this also applies to the young ones as well-- what really matters most is if that person makes you long for him still in your heart even if the kilig factor is gone. - then that guy is a keeper. Ok, I am not going to Pyschoanalyze May-December relationships -- I am not in the mood for that, and this post is not really about that--It is just a matter of preference--and besides, I am so not like Calista Flockhart ok LOL! -- my point being is just that Harrison Ford is still fun to watch despite being an oldie...nuff said! Moving on...
After the movie, I saw a kiosk of Beard Papa's Fresh and Natural Creams Puffs and enjoyed their elcair with belgian chocolate filling yum!!! The weather outside was a bit chilly and gloomy as if it is going to rain; but it was such a beautiful Saturday like no other...[SCROLL DOWN THE PAGE FOR ALL PHOTOS]
In front of the fountain at the movie theater entrance - [*where na u? dito na me! LOL!*]
Inside the theater awaiting for the movie to start - [*look to your right--
uuuyyy, an oldie couple on a secret date...aba! nagpa-alam ba kayo sa mga apo ninyo? LOL!*]
YIPEE! Mr. Henry Jones, Jr. - Indiana Jones! - TANTANAN..TATANANAN! he! he!
Chocolate - YUM!!!
Gloomy weather--but otherwise a Saturday full of SUNSHINE!
Thanks Henry!-It was such a fun Saturday spent with You and thanks for the hat! he! he! [*how do I look*]

Not afraid to LOVE YOU
Ok, I may have already forewarned you many times before, but I cannot overemphasize this point that--I am a mushy one. I am the type of gal who see an inspiration and hope on just about anything and anyone, the kind you don’t want to know if you think that there can't be fairy tale endings in Life and in Love. Nope, although I had my share of brokeness and challenges--I do believe that, in the end, there is always that rainbow of hope and the promise of a new beginning.
On that note, I would like to share with you a wonderful scene from the ever-classic Breakfast at Tiffany's movie. One that never fails to put a smile on my skippyheart every time I watch it because not only it shows the true essence of taking chances no matter what--but also because it has a cat in it...meow! go figure...Enjoy!
A memorable quote: Paul Varjak - You know what's wrong with you, Miss Whoever-you-are? You're chicken, you've got no guts. You're afraid to stick out your chin and say, "Okay, life's a fact, people do fall in love, people do belong to each other, because that's the only chance anybody's got for real happiness." You call yourself a free spirit, a "wild thing," and you're terrified somebody's gonna stick you in a cage. Well baby, you're already in that cage. You built it yourself. And it's not bounded in the west by Tulip, Texas, or in the east by Somali-land. It's wherever you go. Because no matter where you run, you just end up running into yourself.

Me, A Bride? NOT!!!
Being a mushy gal like myself equates also to being a fan of chick flixs... so even though I still have a bad cold and a slight fever, I will for sure be going to see the movie opening tomorrow of Made of Honor, starring Patrick Demsey as a successful, happy-go-lucky guy who realized that he is in love with his lady best friend who asked him to be her Made of Honor for her upcoming wedding. (Official Site/Movie trailers and more info at the reference section)
I pretty much know already how the movie would end -- A happy ending -- almost all romantic comedies end that way, but I am still willing to shell out my $11.50 to watch this...he! he! so, folks, I will see you at the movies and please pass the popcorn. =)

Two souls with but a single thought,
Two hearts that beat as one.
Yep, as expected, I have enjoyed the movie...and here are some notable quotes from it:
- Anytime is a good time to say I Love You; Marry Me?
- You are the perfect guy; just not the perfect guy for me
The WATCHER
I was such a movie buff then and is a big fan of chick flix movies. Before I got sick, I go see movies almost every week, sometimes twice whenever there are back-to-back showing of romantic comedies with Drew Barrymore, Meg Ryan and the likes. Nowadays, I only see a movie depending on how much I really like the storyline, the stars and the general feel of the movie. And if I do see one, I am still at a habit of picking up on the most memorable quotes from it so as to compile them at my Movie Quotes page.
One of my favorite was from a not so new movie - Captain Corelli’s Mandolin.
Love is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion. That is just being “in love” which any of us can convince ourselves we are.
Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Your mother and I had it, we had roots that grew towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossom had fallen from our branches we found that we were one tree and not two.
Please check out my Movie Quotes page for my other faves and if you would like to share some of your favorite movie quotes, please post them at the Message Board. Thanks and please pass the popcorn. . .;)
