The morning started early for all of us in preparation of my niece's birthday party. By mid-afternoon, one by one the relatives and visitors arrived and the fun begun. :) Since some of my family members are law enforcement undercover detectives, so as the visitors--a must for them to check-in their guns and badges at the front door so as not for the children to see.  

Lots of familiar faces, food, alcohol, gifts, laughter --A full day for my  Skippyheart so I am just going to post some pictures to document this wonderful children's party day spent with family and friends and go sleep.

I am not really planning on posting anything since it is Friday night and I am already winding down, getting ready to sleep--TV is on low volume and set to automatic off when I just saw Dolly Parton featured--made me remember when I met her at a doctor's clinic that we both went to.  [Folks, just to clarify, not at a cosmetic surgeon clinic ok *LOL* I may not be blessed with  beautiful twins like Ms. Parton, but I am all Au Naturale ok--small and proud of them! *LOL* ] I will not disclose our doctor's name for privacy issues, especially of Ms. Parton ok...well anyway, where was I? ah ok,--moving on...

I do not easily get star struck--especially when I am at a doctor's office, I actually feel a bit edgy every time because I just want the visit to be done and over with--so there I was reading a magazine, waiting for the receptionist to call my turn to see the doctor when my mom who was with me at that time nudged me and said, "Becc, why are they all staring at that lady that just walked in the door"?  When I looked up--there she was, Dolly Parton--she was wearing a red suit with a white shirt and high heels on--I must say that she is one attractive lady on and off screen.  I then told my mom that it is because she is this well-known country singer--My mom then said while shrugging her shoulders, "ah ok whatever, I do not know her" he! he!--oh well, that's my mom! he! he!

I then just continued on to anxiously reading my magazine, when the the receptionist called in my name loudly for me to complete some more personal infos I have missed on my medical questionnaire.  As I was filling out the forms--Ms. Parton, who was sitting adjacent to where I was, with a smile on her face said to me--"You have such a beautiful name Rebecca.  My middle name is also Rebecca--Dolly Rebecca Parton".  We then shook hands and I said that it was nice meeting her and that I am a fan (he! he! am not really a fan at that time *there goes my Pinocchio nose--but then she is such a pleasant lady so now I am one. =) I bought a CD of hers and I am featuring here one of her songs titled "Islands in the Stream" a giddy song duet with Kenny Rogers.  The thematic funky photo of dogs are Peter Alexander boxes for the matching boxer shorts that I bought this afternoon--1 for me and 1 that I will be sending to one cool friend gal as well-- the female dog is named "Elizabeth" and the male dog is named "Butch" [To You:  I will be sending you the Butch box ok--I just hope the boxers fits you ok *wink* *wink*]

A sickness prevails my soul--THE FACT that I spend almost all of my waking hours on the Internet is no secret--and so have got me thinking these past few days that it is starting to be un-healthy already. I need to slow-down a bit as I have been getting even more hooked each day--I need to re-focus on the reality of life--My Life outside of Blogsphere.

With or without any expectations of an audience, I started this blog just as to document whatever pivotal moments that are happening or not happening in my life. Through this blog--I have shared and shed gallons of tears, lots of sleepless nights, knife-cutting pain of disappointments, moments of silliness, outpouring of blessings, sweet moments of success and tons of mushiness with every tap of my keyboard. I have met some cyber and real friends that, no matter how brief will I be eternally be grateful for knowing, and will forever be a part of my heart--my life.

It is not that I do not feel that same fiery fire in my Skippyheart about this blog and my online life anymore, I can never and will not stay away--I  am still going to be here and there, pressing forward...will still post once in a while, bloghop and comments on my favorite sites, but just not as much anymore.

For some of you--yes you know who you are folks--thank you for making me feel so good knowing that someone out there care about this blog. For you to actually go through the trouble of “going to this blog" with or without making your presence known to me--for you to give me your time of day to check on what is happening with My Skippyheart--I do appreciate y'all more than y'all will ever know.

On this note and as of this post, My Skippyheart falls into the shadows--

WEEEE, today is Monday but more like an extended weekend for me because I did not go to work. I am feeling a bit skippy--yah know, my heart! [*uuyyy sobra kasing in-love he! he!*]  No need calling 911 though--I feel okay, just needed to rest I guess.  Well then, since I am just here at home anyways, let me just blog about my weekend [*like anybody cares?*LOL*] oh well...

We went to the cemetery Saturday to put flowers at my grandpa's grave since we were supposed to have a family Father's Day Sunday picnic. It ended up not pushing through though because of some last minute conflict of schedules with some of my cousins--so we just re-scheduled it for this coming Saturday instead--and to celebrate my aunt's birthday that day as well.

so...last Saturday, I ended up spending the day with a Frisky gal -- Cat Woman [yep, better *BEHAVE! or she will whip yah! MEOW!*he! he!] then yesterday, since a free Sunday--we went to a Chalk Festival - Sidewalk Art Show.  One thing I am not good at is drawing, [all I know how to draw is a smiley face or a stick figure he! he!]--It was such fun day to see all the amazing sidewalk pavement Art.  Two of them captured my eyes the most that I would like to share here--and since it would not be complete without a flair of my mushiness self and the lyrical poet in me--so I also included a featured song, put a title for each art, and composed some quotes of love inspired by them.
