It just does somethin' to me -It sends a shock right through me
I can't get enough - So if you wonder - About the spell I'm under - oh It's your love

That this love I have inside Is everything it seems.
But for now I find it's only in my dreams.
Wishing for the day...
That I can change the world,
I would be the sunlight in your universe.
You would think my love was really something good,
Baby if I could change the world.

I am still a bit tired from yesterday's 11 hr work day and coming back from the trip so I am not really in an updating blog kinda mood. I retired early to bed, got my earphones on while surfing the Net and the TV is on at the same time. One thing I am not really interested in is Politics; but somehow the Senate Hearning now on as I type this entry caught my attention when I saw the person testifying in tears. I wanted to know what made him so emotional...
If anybody is interested in the current state of Philippine politics, a statement of the witness Jun Lozada struck an emotional chord in my skippyheart. He was trying to put into perspective his reasons for testifying to the Senate committee investigating the controversial ZTE project and began to narrate an incident that he experienced during one of his many trips to the Philippine countryside. After a long and tiring trek to a far flung town he came upon an individual belonging to one of the Philippine's indiginous tribes. The man was visibly living in poverty by the way he described him, and during his conversation with him he noticed the abundance of Guava trees in the nearby surroundings. Feeling the need to help the tribe, he suggested to the man to harvest the guava fruits and bring them to the town market so as to augment their meager income. He was touched by the response that he got. Notwithstanding the poverty that the tribe was going through, the man said that they are not harvesting the guava fruits because they are saving them so the birds will have something to eat. Contrast that scene to the current political events where officials of government are involved in the organized looting of government coffers, literally stealing from the Filipino people and you will have a clearer picture of the moral bankruptcy of most of our elected officials.
How I wish more could be like those indiginous tribe people who are willing to live in poverty and hunger for the good of other people and other God Creatures such as the birds in this case.
