Rainbow Bridge The saddest sound in the entire universe is the sound of the last heartbeat!
Today's such a sad day because my sweet China already crossed-over the rainbow bridge. With a very heavy heart, I miss you so much, it hurts! T'il we meet again....
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... ~ author unknown

skip, i'm really sorry to hear about your loss. if there's any consolation, pets survive death. sometimes they go to a place called heaven. sometimes they have become so highly evolved that they come back as humans. life is forever in one form or another.
when the mother of my cousin in boston died, she passed away quietly, my cousin didn't experience any telltale sign of her presence, such as a burning candle or an apparition. well, that was until her friend, a catholic nun, decided to spend the night over in her apartment. while asleep, she was awakened by a cat jumping on her feet.
"i didn't know you own a pet," she told my cousin in the morning while they were having breakfast.
"why did you say that?" my cousin asked. "i don't have one."
"then whose cat is it that woke me up last night?"
my cousin asked her friend to describe the cat for which she obliged.
"oh, that must be my mother's favorite cat who died long time ago," my cousin said.
after hearing thus, my cousin's friend suggested that they should pray.
Oh my. My heart melted and got really really sad after reading your post and seeing the pic of your China.
I am so sorry to hear the news about your sweet buddy leaving your side. It's my first time to hear about Rainbow Bridge but it does sound so positive. I hope China is having a better and happier life on the other side.
You take care.
