Follow the beat...heartupd.gif

Hear our humble prayer, O God, for our friends the animals, especially for animals who are suffering; for animals that are overworked, underfed and cruelly treated; for all wistful creatures in captivity that beat their wings against bars; for any that are hunted or lost or deserted or frightened or hungry; for all that must be put to death.

We entreat for them all Thy mercy and pity, and for those who deal with them we ask a heart of compassion and gentle hands and kindly words.
Make us, ourselves, to be true friends to animals, and so to share the blessings of the merciful.

INFUSIONS: Do not be afraid, for I AM WITH YOU!

Halloween for me this year won't be about the traditional trick or treat, ghosts, goblins, costumes and the likes...but surely will be spending that day on the scary side as well. I'm scheduled for 3 weeks back-to-back Iron infusion sessions and I don't really know what to expect. My Hematologist advised me full well about the RISKS about this kind of therapy, add-on my being a heart patient, too. There's a greater chance for me to go into Anaphylactic shock.

On the flipside, being my levels are now so low, I've been living like a zombie with the entire buffet of symptoms manifesting in my already compromised system. If I don't go through with this therapy, I gamble in being much sicker if my personal efforts to raise my blood levels fail. So, although I'm a tad nervous, I've decided to go through with it.

If I could, I would Tweet or Facebook my progress during the sessions, and do follow-up blog updates...'til then...Folks, please whisper a prayer for me. Thank you!

GOD, you’ve got Your perfect hands over My Nervous Heart! ◕‿◕❤ ~ sh

in the words of a filipina beauty queen, "major, major" na yata yan. baka iron woman na ang maging labas mo. just curious, did you seek a second opinion? i went to google and looked for food rich in iron. ang dami naman na pagpipilian. unless you're a picky eater. anyway, skip, i'll be praying for you.

I also have absorption problem so could not tolerate oral iron...and even I eat iron-rich foods now, with my already low-levels, it would take months to even raise my numbers up to my other option is the infusion therapy nga daw to give my levels an immediate boost...

Thank you for the prayers. :)

dear me, if your system is weak it needs to be recharged just like your car battery. i'll share you a secret that will help you. in the morning, noon, and before retiring to bed at night, do this simple exercise. first, stand straight and raise your hands. while keeping the left hand open, close the right hand into a fist. then, breathe in for seven seconds as you rise on your toes and exhale for seven seconds as you let down. repeat three times. try it. it'll make you feel better. you may also consider thinking of me while doing it for additonal benefits. ok, you can delete the last sentence. :)

you're welcome. skip. but have you tried it? it will energize and recharge your body better than gatorade. i'm glad the procedure went ok. i pray that the succeeding procedures will be successful as well. i would advise, though, that you shouldn't think of flying for sometime. the iron level in your system may cause the metal detectors at the airport to go haywire.
