You are a BREATH OF FRESH AIR

[*SIGH*] Here we go again!  One of the not so fun sides of living in California is having Wildfires!  It was October of last year when we had a similar incident here-- but the ones we are now having are far more widespread and deadly.  The air quality is so unhealthy in our area, so elderly folks, those with respiratory conditions, and a heart patient like myself are most advised to just stay indoors.

As much as I need to just stay at home, sometimes I am stubborn too--[*medyo lang naman na pasaway po! promise! ;p he! he!*]--so this morning, with a mask on and my cane, I ventured out through the smoky air which smelled like as if there are campfires all over the place.  I went to a nearby place for breakfast, had some french toasts and my dose of caffeine.  Afterwards, I decided to get some carry-out meals--[*Tuna Puttanesca, Pho soup, croquettes*] for lunch, dinner and some [*pastries and my favorite, Raisin bread from Panera*]--for snacks.  Already geared-up with my food for the whole day, I headed home.

Back on the Wildfires:  My heartfelt appreciation goes out to all of the Firefighters who are really Heroes.  Thank you also to all of the rescue workers, volunteers, especially the ones who make sure none of the animals within the affected areas are left behind, and find temporary shelters for the displaced pets as well.

Lastly, my heart goes out and deep condolences to the families of the two fallen firefighters, who made the ultimate sacrifice while on the line of fire.

just keep safe always and the news about wildfires not just there saddens me. i hope that we wont experience the same thing here as much as i hope that it won't happen there.

oo nga eh =(...kaya lang yung iba ay ayaw pa din mag-evacuate in hopes na kaya nila labanan yung apoy with just their regular garden hose. tsk! tsk! lalo tuloy nahi-hirapan yung mga rescuers...
