YOUNG and YOUNG ONCE in Love

As a follow-up on my post regarding a kind heart is the true essence of beauty, here comes a related cliché regarding "Age does not matter" when falling-in-love and getting in to a relationship with someone despite of age disparity.--[*Opt-out falling for a minor okay folks, that's a big no! no! and against the law*he! he!*] What I am referring here is of legal-age lovers, but one partner is considerably older than the other partner--more so known as the "May-December Romance".

In our society nowadays, I find that it is more acceptable when the man is older than the woman. However, on the flip side, it tends to cause chit-chats and more raise eyebrows when the woman is older than the man. I am not going to debate why the double-standard, it is just the way it is. That said, and for those of you who may follow this blog quite obviously know that I personally prefer older men--[*though I am now crushing on a cutiepie young one, JC De Vera of "Ngayon at Kailanman" Telenovela--Yep, Kapuso po ako he! he!--and I do know that I am nowhere near the beauty and grace of his leading lady, Heart Evangelista--I am simply just plain SkippyHEART--so pag-pasensyahan ninyo na po ang teeny-bopper moment ko na ito pwede, Ugh! stop this!...hindi naman ako mahilig sa showbiz ha! *LOL*]-- kidding aside and nevertheless, when it comes to finding a partner, young or old, what matters most is that you will both grow together in love! o di ba? hahaha. i laughed at that teeny bopper moment. that happens to all us at one point or another, doesn't it? :)

indeed, age is only a number. you might be 20 but your body and spirit is already 40. Or you can be 40 with the body and spirit of a 20.

True, age somehow is just a state of mind depending on how a person feels about oneself. Young or old, our outlook and love for life define our age.

I don't know if my case falls into what you call may-december affair - I am 9 years older than my wife. But then I married late, 36 ako then and she was 27 naman.

yeah. i agree that age is just a number but i think the magic number legally is 16. although there is no law prohibiting someone to fall in love with someone who is 16 years his/her junior or senior, still i think that it should not go beyond sixteen years. di ko alam reason eh, siguro too big a gap is more difficult to manage lang.

"magic number 16 years his/her junior or senior" hmmm, well, not more so of a magic number...as I have said before, ages of the partners do not fundamentally guarantee the success of the relationship, or make the relationship easier to manage in that sense...Love does nga di ba...;)...pero I am not saying din naman na too big of a gap is ok....hehe huwag lang talaga super young or super oldie Yay!...I agree with you na baka medyo mahirap nga ganon...oh well...he! he!...:D
