I am the type of person who doesn't ask for much in my life.  But being a birthday celebrant just a few days before Christmas, I often get asked twice for what I want. 

While gifts are nice, and I always appreciate them all--I can honestly say that they’re not necessary! I much prefer to just meet up with family and friends, spend time sharing sweet laughter over dinner at home, or even just for cup of coffee.  

Quality time with loved ones give me so much joy that no gift could ever suffice!  Having all of them in my life is the best and the only gift I could ever want!

And you ask me what I want this year
And I try to make this kind and clear
Just a chance that maybe we’ll find better days
C'oz I don’t need boxes wrapped in strings
And desire and love and empty things
Just a chance that maybe we’ll find better days
