RED MEAT--as in "PULA NA KARNE"

I usually make my entries at random subject rotations from mushy, inspirational, funny, health, pets, special causes/events, but rarely about food--reason being of my love/hate relationship with food because of my heart condition, and now plus my gluten allergy.
Well, this post is not really about another food allergy, but rather about what I overheard a "kababayan" said when ordering food at a Filipino restaurant this morning.
There I was waiting for my Bangsilog order, when another lady customer came in. The cashier asked her what she wants to order....her response was:
- lady customer: "ano ba yung pula na karne?"...
- cashier: (though seems to be a bit lost in translation, responded)... "ah eh di yung Tocino po"...(the cashier then left the counter to place her order at the kitchen)--another cashier came out, not knowing that the lady customer already ordered, asked her again...
- cashier2: "ano po ang order ninyo?"
- the lady customer answered again along the lines of..."nag-order na ako nung pula na karne!"--as if ows?...still hindi pa din nya alam talaga kung ano ang tawag doon sa ni-order nya.--The 2nd cashier just said okay and shrugged-off his shoulders .*rolleyes*
Yay! I tell yah folks, I do not like labeling people by how they look or speak. I myself feel a bit irked sometimes when being told that even though I speak in my usual Tagalog native tongue, that I do not look like a Filipina daw!--[*UGH!..hmmm bakit?... siguro some folks find me as mas mukha na green Martian...as in "I come in peace..."--*LOL*]--well, my point here is that the lady customer surely is Pinay na Pinay sa puso at diwa he! he! he! *APIR!*
Hmm, makes me wonder then why she doesn't know Tocino--a so common Filipino breakfast in the likes of Tapsilog, Bangsilog, Tuyosilog--ahhh, maybe that's just her way when ordering food.--[*haayyy naku! paano kaya kung ni-order nya ay Tuyo?--siguro ang sasabihin nya when placing her order ay "ano ba yung dried isda na mabaho?"--Yikes!*teehee--*LOL*
Oh well then, whatever!--so to end this post, will yah just sing along with me na lang, with the sariling atin featured OPM song Pinoy Ako! Pinoy Tayo! Have a wonderful weekend y'all and also a Happy Sweetest Day greetings to all my kababayan na Filipino and non-Filipino folks! =)

kahit siguro ako maka encounter ng ganun e iba-blog ko din kasi kakaiba.
baka naman di talaga alam nung babae ang tocino? pero imposible kasi kahit yung bata sa amin alam kung ano ang tocino e.
hmmm... bakit akaya? baka naman nagtritrip sya? hehe
anyhow
di ka nga mukang pinay baka kasi sahil sa skin color mo, maputi ka e :D saka baka dahil masaydo ka ng fluent at wala ng pinoy accent :D
