1 Reference The day started early for me as I head out for my 9:00 a.m. doctor's appointment. After the routine health assessment of my heart and the monthly administration of B12 injection for my Anemia, I then went for my dose of Caffeine at the nearby cafe when the rain started pouring--then the lyrical poet in me kicked in, and I started singing softly the song "November Rain" by Guns and Roses--[*Na-saniban ni Axl Rose he! he!*]
So if you want to love me-then darlin' don't refrain
Or I'll just end up walkin'-In the cold November rain
Today, being November and it rained, get it? sorry folks he! he!--whatever!--moving on then--this day's plans does not end with my doctor's appointment, as I have another place to go that I so look forward to going for a week now--And that is to attend a Mass which Cardinal Roger Michael Mahony will officiate.
The Mass was scheduled to start at 2:00 p.m.--but I decided to be there about an hour early as to get a parking spot, and a good seat at the Church for a good view of the Cardinal. While my companion and I were sitting, one of the Sisters approached us and asked if we are affiliated with the Sisters of Charity? I then responded "No M'am, we are just here for the Mass and to see the Cardinal". She then went on to say that we are more than welcome to stay, and that it was so nice of us to come for the celebration. Yay! got me thinking then that the Mass for the event was probably not an open-invitation. [*he! he! Religious gate-crashers! tsk! tsk!*] [no wonder the attendees seem to know each other--majority of them are in their senior years already and were in suits--yikes! us, in jeans oooohhhh boy!*] But then again, All are always welcome at the "House of the Lord"-so we stayed--
Then the procession started--I can't help but get teary eyed when I got the first glimpse of Cardinal Mahony. I felt the presence of God as he passes by us. [*SCROLL DOWN FOR PHOTOS-more at: Silent Vespers.com*]
I am so humbled by such a Blessed rainy Saturday spent!

You really get that overwhelming feeling when someone you feel is holy passes by. I felt that way when I saw Pope John Paul II up close during the World Youth Day here in the Phils.
Miss u, dear sis! How are you na? I hope you had a fun halloween :) Mwah!
hahaha... >>>"Yay! got me thinking then that the Mass for the event was probably not an open-invitation. "
funny but it was not a coincidence that you were there. God really wanted you to be there. i believe. it's good that you really find it humbling.
